The August Playlist | Recent Music Loves

Hello, lovelies! Fancy having a bit of a snoop around my playlist for this month and finding out what songs I've been loving? You've come to the right place! I've gathered together all the songs I've had on repeat over the past month or so into one handy little post. Good, eh?

Bastille - Good Grief 

I honestly couldn't have made this post without adding this song. I've been obsessed with it probably for a little bit over a month, but it's still one of my go-to songs even now. I love Bastille, and I think this may be my favourite of all their songs. 

Rihanna - Love On The Brain 

This is a very recent love, but a love all the same. Now, I'll be the first to say I'm not Rihanna's biggest fan. I don't necessarily dislike her or her music, it's just not something I'd seek out either. But, I stumbled across this song in another playlist and I literally had it on repeat for the next 2 days. Solid. Like, it's all I listened too. Seriously! 

James TW - When You Love Someone 

This is the first I've heard of this guy, but I sincerely hope it's not the last! It's one of those easy listening, stick it on in the background when you're reading or just relaxing songs. Then, you listen to the lyrics and you're like "oh. so it's like that". Very much like Jamie Lawson's Wasn't Expecting That, where you don't really listen to the lyrics but when you do you realise it's a lot more meaningful than you first thought.

Lydia Lucy & Alex Wallhead - Jealous | The Midweek Cover

Hello lovelies! I'm very, very excited about this weeks mid week cover! You may or may not recognise Lydia Lucy from the X Factor. I was personally a massive fan of hers. Today I've got a cover of Labrinth's Jealous from the lovely Lydia and Alex Wallhead. 

Alex and Lydia's voices are absolutely stunning on their own, but I feel like they fit together so well on this song. It's genuinely such a beautiful version of an already very beautiful, emotional song. It's well worth a listen. You can check out more from Lydia and Alex by going here.

Alexi Blue - Love Me Like You Do | The Midweek Cover

Hello lovelies! Another cover for you guys today. I'm sure I'm not alone in my love of this song, I haven't spoken to one person yet who didn't just adore it, so I thought I share one of my favourite covers of this song by a truly amazing lady, Alexi Blue. 

I love this girl, I haven't heard one of her covers that I've disliked yet, and I imagine it will stay that way for a while yet! I would happily pay money for her music, without a doubt. Sophia Karlberg - Crazy In Love Fifty Shades Version | The Midweek Cover

Hello Lovelies! You may remember a few weeks ago I mentioned the lovely Sophia and her cover of Hozier's Take Me To Church. Well, today I'm back with another of her covers that I fell in love with and just had to share with you guys.

Weekly Music Favourites | What's Been On Repeat?

Hello Lovelies! It's that time of week again where I sit down and share with you guys what songs I've been loving this week. You may have seen my post recently where I mentioned my Spotify playlist, which allows you to see what I'm adding and listening to on a daily basis. However, these are the stand-out songs for me this week. 

Trouble - Iggy Azalea & Jennifer Hudson. In all honesty I've never been Iggy's biggest fan, but for some reason I just can't stop listening to this song. Maybe it's just really catchy, but it's definitely been one of the songs I've loved most this week. 

Hold My Hand - Jess Glynne. I've been in love with Jess Glynne for quite some time now, and this latest offering of hers is absolutely no different. How catchy is this? It's got such an amazing beat, you find yourself singing it in your head hours later. Amazing. 

House Party - Sam Hunt. This has long since been one of my favourite songs, but this week I've really been feeling it again. Firmly at the top of songs I can call my all time favourites, I can't just listen to this once. As soon as it comes on shuffle, I hit repeat and I can listen to it for the rest of the night. Potentially the most catchy, feel-good song I'll ever feature on this little blog!

Charlotte Turnbull - You Are | Music

Hello Lovelies! I've mentioned repeatedly once or twice that I love my music posts on this blog, and this is a post I'm very, very excited to be sharing with you guys. I'm constantly searching youtube for new artists, and when I stumbled across the absolutely amazing Charlotte Turnbull recently, I knew I'd stumbled onto an absolute diamond. 

Although I was originally looking through her covers, I quickly found her originals. I'm a big fan of originals on youtube, so I immediately hit play and I wasn't disappointed. Although I love all her her music, my favourite by far is this one; You Are. Charlotte's vocals are always on point, but I feel like this song was the one I connected with the most for some reason. I can't say enough things about this song, it's got such a laid back beat. I can't get enough of this song, but most importantly Charlotte as an artist.

Sofia Karlberg - Take Me To Church | The Midweek Cover

Hello lovelies! It's that time of the week again, where I share my favourite cover of the week. This week, I've got a cover of the amazing Take Me To Church by Hozier, which is a perfect song already. 

Sophia's voice gives this already beautiful song such a new vibe, I can't stop listening to her and having serious hair envy! I absolutely recommend giving her channel a look and listening to her other covers, especially her cover of the 50 Shades Of Grey version of Beyonce's Crazy in Love. Weekly Music Favourites | What's Been On Repeat?

Hello lovelies! Yet another weekly music favourites post! I've been revisiting a lot of older music this week, so it may not be very new-release heavy. Then again, when is it ever, eh? 

I Gave You All - Mumford & Sons. I feel like this has actually been a very Mumford & Sons heavy fortnight! After I became obsessed with Believe - which I mentioned in last weeks post - I've had their albums on repeat. They're just such easy listening, but I love the build in this song! 

Half Broke Heart - Cam. This is such a feel-good song, I can't stop playing it! If you follow me on twitter, you may or may not have noticed me tweeting the lyrics to this earlier in the week. It's god a very country-pop feel to it, and I just love it. 

Knock You Down - Keri Hilson, Kanye West & Ne-Yo. I feel like everyone loved this back in the day! I go through stages with this song, where it comes in my life and I'll constantly have it on repeat for a week or two, just enjoying reminiscing about my apparently long-lost youth (because I'm 22 going on 80, apparently!), then forget about it for another 6 months. 

Lighthouse - G.R.L. I've actually been a fan of G.R.L.'s music for a very long time, Ugly Heart is definitely a song to listen to, but this is in memory of their former band mate Simone Battle who sadly passed away last September. The video is very moving, and the song is absolutely beautiful.

My Spotify Playlists | Daily Music Favourites?

Hello Lovelies! I've mentioned before (I'm sure!) that I love my little music posts on this blog. Music is the one thing you can guarantee I'm paying attention to 24/7, and I love sharing my passion for that. I love sharing what's been making me feel thing this week, and also hearing about what other people have been loving. That said, I thought I'd let you guys know about my Spotify playlist(s).

This is the playlist I'll be keeping most updating with just current loves, but of course I'll be adding and changing more public playlists as time goes on; guilty pleasures and all! I know this post is a little bit different, but I hope you guys don't mind!

AsiaLoveMusiq - Blank Space | Mid Week Cover

Hello lovelies! It is arguably my favourite day of the week today: mid week cover day! I think music might posts might be my favourite posts to do, I listen to music almost 24/7, and I love sharing the songs I've been loving, and hearing what's been important to other people. That said, let's move onto this weeks cover!

 

 

This week it's the lovely AsiaLoveMusiq with her cover of Taylor Swift's Blank Space. I love Taylor Swift, I really do, but ohmygoodness this lovely lady brings such a new energy to this song. When I'm looking for the covers I'm going to post, I ask myself if I'd be willing to pay money for this version of the song, and I would most definitely part with my pennies to pay for this song maybe over Taylor's version! I honestly cannot rave enough!

Weekly Music Loves | Mid March 2015

Hello lovelies! This week has been such a good music week, it's been a tough job to narrow it down to a manageable list! Alas, I've managed it. Without further ado, here are the songs I've had on repeat this week.

 

 

Believe - Mumford and Sons. I've been a massive fan of these guys for such a long time, and I think it's fair to say this is yet another great offering. It's one of those songs that builds, and you're just in your car or making dinner singing along as if you're auditioning for the X Factor! Absolutely brilliant, and if I had to recommend one song this week, this would be it.

 

Make it Holy - the Staves. I feel like every week I describe at least one song as beautiful. And, this is. It's an absolute joy to listen to, the vocals are so pretty, and it's just a really lovely song.

 

 

Meghan Trainor - Credit. If I'm being honest, this entire album should be in the list. But, if I absolutely had to choose a song from the album, I think this would be my favourite. It's just such a fun song, great for singing getting ready for a night out with your friends.
